While it was blowing a gale in the rest of Cape Town, the micro-climate offered by the mountains of Hout Bay provided surprisingly calm boating conditions. Not unexpected, most of the tour group opted not go out to sea that day but those did were blessed with a great trip. With the proper gear and more than capable boat we set off to seal island. Make no mistake it was windy and choppy but the right kind. Just enough to make it exciting. The colors of the sea, mountain and vegetation continuously shift under clouds adding to adventure.
