Bloggers, reviews and boating adventures

Conquest Charters has provided many tourists with amazing memories and pictures of the ocean lifestyle by boating in Cape Town, South Africa. Sadly, the pictures taken and shared with friends are something we seldom get to see. However, on a recent trip we shared this experience with some local travel bloggers of The Travel Manuel. Summer is on its way

I agree that, updates have been slow of late. But I DO have some charters to report back on. The Cape Point run in False Bay has been our most active trip so far with Marine Scene and Blue Flash. As usual  weather conditions vary day to day – making for fun outings. Our most Read more about Summer is on its way[…]

This route includes highlights such as vistas of the beautiful Table Mountain and the marvellous new Cape Town Stadium. Next we Read more about End of Summer[…]

Summer on the Sea in Cape Town

The year started out well with more locals getting on the boat than internationals as is normally the case. The trip in the picture was planned for an 8am pre-work boat ride from the waterfront. It was amazing; the sea-life – seals, birds, all out in morning light. Glad to say we were back by 9 Read more about Summer on the Sea in Cape Town[…]

Cute and cuddly..or sleek and agile – behold the Dolphin

Dolphins Dolphins Dolphins everywhere! That is what can be said on a recent trip for Laurens Birthday Outing. The sea condition were great and the waves were few. All Smiles at Cape Point Coffee Shop

Although a fairly strong South Wester was blowing in False bay, carrying a few showers with it, it did not stop us from heading out to Cape Point. After a stop at the Seals, the birds nesting in the cliffs and getting airborne we reached the majestic Cape Point. This was a UCT Zoology holiday Read more about All Smiles at Cape Point Coffee Shop[…]

Sunset or Sunrise?

It is an amazing thing to watch the sun set across the vast Atlantic Ocean. And I am sure you have your favourite place in Cape Town to do just that where you can enjoy the colours that go so well with the surroundings. I recently enjoyed one from the top of Kloof Nek Road Read more about Sunset or Sunrise?[…]

GO BIG OR GO HOME… we go forward

Cape Town “2008” was awesome! We saw our fleet double from one to two boats. The slow build of “Zangetsu” was worth the wait! The awesome 8.5m Gemini really performs well and is more than capable of handling the rough seas around Cape Town (although we prefer NOT to test those capabilities). The weather was Read more about GO BIG OR GO HOME… we go forward[…]

Some pictures from Read more about The Atlantic Experience[…]

VOLVO OCEAN RACE 2008/2009

Red Bull Big Wave Competition

The Red Bull Big Wave Competition celebrated it tenth anniversary at Dungeons in Hout Bay South Africa. The waves were big, the sound of crashing waves thunderous but the skill of “special” kind of people out there (those doing the surfing) was amazing. It was the first time being out there with the waves that Read more about Red Bull Big Wave Competition[…]
